WE'RE HERE...BARELY

First something about Lyon....

Lyon is the third largest city in France (after Paris and Marsaille) with about 1.5 million people in its metropolitan area. It's about two-thirds of the way down from the top of France and slightly east of center, and the Rhone and Saone rivers flow around it. Ever since it was occupied by the Roman Empire, it's been historically and culturally the most important city in the country after Paris. It also claims to be as good as, or better than, all other cities in France when it comes to food. Here we go!

We've been up about 26 hours with just a few cat/dog naps. Landed in Paris and sat in the Sheraton Lounge waiting for our train to Lyon.

We met with Sophie and are now ensconced in our apt. We've been shopping for food and are about to head out to dinner at Little Italy. Then home and early to bed. More later...obviously!!!!
